ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is one of the oldest recorded forms of medicine, having been used — and celebrated — in China for over 3,000 years.

Research shows that it works for over 70% of people, frequently producing the desired results where conventional treatment has failed. Though it is not suitable for everyone, acupuncture has proven to be a highly effective in the treatment of:

  • Acute/chronic injuries
  • Arthritis & rheumatism
  • Back & neck pain
  • Bladder & bowel problems
  • Breathing difficulties (including asthma, bronchitis and hay fever)
  • Headaches
  • Multiple sclerosis (MS)
  • Muscle & joint problems
  • Pain, nausea & dizziness
  • A variety of skin conditions
  • Sports injuries
  • Stress-related difficulties
  • Strokes
  • Women’s health

How it works…
The Chinese understanding is that Qi (energy) flows freely through the healthy body. However, when there is a problem in the body, this energy stagnates. Stimulation of appropriate acupuncture points frees this stagnation, and research has also proven that acupuncture stimulates the human body to produce endorphins (the natural pain-relieving chemicals produced by the body).
