PhysioMatters is pleased to announce that acupuncturist, fertility specialist and yoga teacher Yulia Heaton has joined us at our Llandaff clinic!

A highly skilled and experienced acupuncturist specialising in fertility and women’s health issues, Yulia  is also one of the UK’s leading Yoga instructors. As well as running courses, workshops and retreats, Yulia works with the BA Acting students at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD) as part of their Movement Skills module.

Upon completing her first degree in Psychology in 1999, Yulia discovered Yoga and has been teaching for the last 13 years in both the UK and abroad. She was invited to join the Devon School of Yoga teaching faculty in 2003 and continues to actively participate in the evolution of the school by teaching on both the Teacher Training and the Yoga Therapy courses. Yulia has a good understanding of physical injuries and how to address them therapeutically with Yoga and Chinese Medicine.

Yulia obtained a second degree from the London College of traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (LCTA) in 2008. Having run two acupuncture clinics independently, she joined The Natural Health and Fertility Clinic (NHFC) in Cardiff  as a full-time acupuncturist in 2010. This provided Yulia with solid experience in using acupuncture to aid fertility in couples who are either trying naturally or through assisted methods. She later completed ‘Treatment of Infertility with Chinese Medicine’ course with Jane Littleton.
